Whitby Fishing Festival Summer 2008
The Whitby Charter Skippers Association (WCSA) will be holding
their annual summer angling festival from 27th June to 17th July
2008. This year they aim to make the event the best ever with cash
prizes of £12,000 and further tackle prizes taking the total value
of the prize table to near the £20,000 mark. Whitby Charter
Skippers Chairman Paul Kilpatrick Says “The WCSA 2008 summer
festival is going to be massive. This will probably be the biggest
and best angling festival in the UK. There will be up to £20,000 in
total prizes with £12,000 cash available for the event winners”

Whitby Charter Skippers
Whitby
charter skippers association was formed to promote charter boat fishing
from the Yorkshire seaside resort of Whitby. Currently there are
fourteen boats whose skippers belong to the association and meet
regularly to discuss issues relating to charter boat fishing
trips from the
port (please see boats page for a list of the association boats).

charter skipper are also listed should you wish to seek further

Whitby Angling Festivals
The Whitby Charter boat skippers Association runs 3
Angling / fishing festivals each year with some fantastic prizes on offer for
catches made from association boats (please see festival page for
more details). The Prizes for the festival are kindly donated by
several local business' who you can read about on the sponsors page
on this website. If you wish to enter any of the festivals it is
advisable to book up early to save disappointment as spaces are
limited and often sell out months in advance.
Many of the catches including Whitby cod, bass , Haddock,
Whiting, Ling etc made
in the festivals can be viewed on the websites gallery page where
you will also be able to view lots of pictures of catches from the
association boats made outside of the fishing festivals.
Remember that Whitby is
home to the UK cod record in excess of 58 lbs which was caught on
one of our boats, So you really do have the chance of catching a
fish of a lifetime from Whitby the countries premier port for sea
fishing trips.
Whitby Shark Fishing
In recent times anglers on Whitby fishing trips have been
